Members of the Aliwal North SAPS made an arrest of five attempted murder suspects in Maletswai on Tuesday, after they stopped a white VW Polo that was involved in an attempted murder case and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
PICTURE: PixabayAccording to reports, the vehicle was going to Aliwal North. after spotting the police, the driver sped off and a high-speed chase ensued. When the vehicle was intercepted, the suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
The five suspects between the ages of 27
and 35 years old were traced and arrested. A 9mm pistol and ammunition was
recovered in the vehicle and 11 cellphones were confiscated.
The suspects will be charged in Queenstown
for an attempted murder case.
