Three arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Cape Town

Members of the Western Cape Anti-Gang Unit arrested three people for the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and attempted murder this weekend.

According to the police, a 34-year-old woman was arrested in Strand on Saturday for the possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Police found the firearm hidden under a stove during a search of the property.

A 35-year-old man was arrested in Hanover Park after police found a firearm.

“Another man was arrested for two attempted murder cases” said police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
