Parents who have been offered a place in a Western Cape school for 2024 academic year have until Monday, 19 June 2023, to confirm their choice of school.
The Western Cape’s
Education Department (WCED) said after this date, their highest ranked choice of school will automatically be confirmed.

closed on 14 April 2023, viewed the outcome of their applications.
‘’We appeal to parents
to confirm their places as soon as possible as this will free up places for
other learners. This is especially important where a learner has received
offers from multiple schools,’’ said David Maynier, Western Cape Education MEC.
‘’Once these double
parked learners are confirmed to a specific school, the places at other schools
can be offered to other learners,’’ he added.
Maynier said that once
the choice of school has been confirmed, parents are required to drop off the
hard copy documents for their applications to their school of choice within 7
days of accepting.
