A teenage boy from Petsana was arrested for chargers of raping a 12-year-old minor.

Reitz police arrested an 18-year-old boy from Petsana nearby, following the suspected rape of a 12-year-old minor

According to the allegations, the mother grew suspicious of her daughter on the 2nd of June 2023, suspecting that she may be pregnant. She didn't report the event to the police right away because she was concerned about how it may affect her daughter's health. Even though she doesn't remember the specific date, her daughter confirmed that she had slept with the suspect.

According to the police’s Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring, the suspect was traced on Saturday and arrested by local police. He has been charged with rape and is expected to appear before the Reitz Magistrate Court on Monday.
