Bishop Lavis police are seeking the assistance of the public to come forward with information to identify the body of an unknown man found in Downing Crescent, Montana, in August 2023.
The police’s FC van Wyk said, Metro ambulance services were
dispatch to Downing Crescent in Montana on 19 August, just after 11a.m, where
they attended to an unidentified male person in his late 40’s that was
allegedly assaulted and hit by a vehicle.
Van Wyk said the man sustained head injuries and was
transported to Tygerberg Hospital where he died on 8 September. Police have
since opened an inquest docket.
‘’The vehicle alleged to be involved in the hit is unknown
and no witnesses at this stage to confirm the assault or particulars of the
vehicle. Bishop Lavis SAPS detectives are still seeking for information as to
what happened on the mentioned date and the identity of the deceased,’’ said Captain
Frederick van Wyk
