The duo were arrested in Goodwood and Blue Downs on Wednesday, following the murders on New Year’s Day. They appeared in court on Friday, but were released after it is alleged that there were insufficient evidence, and the docket was incomplete. one of the suspects was brought in late. It is further alleged that the wrong suspects were arrested.

Allen says he will be writing to the Western cape’ Police Commissioner, Lt. Gen. Thembisile Patekile.

‘’I view this as gross negligence. We cannot have serious cases of this nature fall through the cracks, due to an alleged failure of duty on SAPS’ part. The families of the victims and the public in general deserves better.’’
