Four men robbed a clothing store in Mitchell’s Plain, on Thursday morning, taking an undisclosed amount of cell phones, including the employees personal belongings.
The police’s FC van Wyk said the suspects entered PEP
stores close to the Station Plaza at the Town Centre, just before midday, pointed the security
guard on duty at the entrance with a firearm and took him and the other two
employees to the safe room.
‘’The store manager was also brought to the safe room
whereby she was instructed to open it. An undisclosed amount of cell phones
where taken including the employees personal belongings. The staff members were
then all tied up with cable ties,’’ said Captain FC van Wyk.
The police spokesperson said the unknown suspects fled the
scene, adding that the security guard managed to untie himself and freed the
rest of the staff, whereby they immediately inform police.
