10 killed in collision on N7 between Vanrhynsdorp and Klawer

Ten people, including three children succumbed to injuries, following a collision between a truck and a bakkie on the N7 between Vanrhynsdorp and Klawer, on Sunday.

Authorities said one person sustained minor injuries. The cause of the head-on collision still needs to be ascertained

This is the fourth high-fatality crash incident on Western Cape roads, in March.

Western Cape’s Mobility MEC, Ricardo Mackenzie, urged road users to be cautious.

‘’ It is with great sadness that I extend my condolences to the loved ones of the ten people… It is a devastating reminder of the importance of road safety for everyone using our roads. Our Provincial Traffic officers will be out in full force during the upcoming school holiday and Easter period, enforcing the law to ensure the safety of all road users.’’
