Norse Atlantic Airways will launch flights between London and Cape Town in the Western Cape on the 28 of October 2024.
The airline will
operate the Boeing 787-9 on the Gatwick-Cape Town route three times weekly,
making it their longest airport pair.
The Western Cape MEC
for Finance and Economic Opportunities, Mireille Wenger, says that this new
route will offer international visitors the opportunity to enjoy the many
diverse offerings in the province.
“An influx of
tourists is good news for the economy as a whole”, added Mireille Wenger
"By
breaking the duopoly on this route, we are not only expanding travel options
for consumers but also driving down costs and putting the customer back in the
pilot’s seat," said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic
Airways.
