Lt Col Malcolm Pojie said officers arrested the truck driver on the N1 in Laingsburg on Thursday.

‘’Information reveals that members of the Rural Flying Squad deployed in Laingsburg, in collaboration with Laingsburg SAPS, performed high density patrols on the N1 national road when they followed their instinct to pull over a truck. The members ensued with a search of the driver and the truck upon which they found ten packets containing mandrax concealed in a box and eight boxes containing compressed dagga. The value of the drugs is estimated at about R3.54 million.’’
