Police officer found guilty of 2 murders in North West

 

A North West police officer was convicted of murdering his estranged wife and her boyfriend.

Independent Police Investigative Directorate spokesperson Phaladi Shuping said that 49-year-old Warrant Officer Annius Mmutle had been convicted on two counts of murder relating to an incident in March last year.

He shot his estranged wife, 44 year old Motshegwa Mmutle,  and her boyfriend, Katlego Selokwane.

He pleaded guilty in the Zeerust Magistrate's Court.

The case was postponed to 2nd July for a pre-sentencing report.
