Alleged drug mule worth R600k's worth of tik arrested at Cape Airport

A 70-year-old man was arrested at the Cape Town International Airport, on Thursday, for being in possession of R600 000's worth of drugs.

The Hawks' Siyabulela Vukubi said officers received information regarding a foreign national that is an alleged drug mule leaving South Africa

‘’Information was immediately operationalised. Suspect was spotted and upon searching his luggage, packets of crystal methamphetamine (tik) was found in a hidden compartment. The team seized 4.1 kg of tik to the value of R600 000.’’

The elderly man will make his first appearance at the Bellville Magistrates Court on Monday.
