An elderly couple was attacked and robbed on their farm near Tzaneen in Limpopo on Monday evening by a group of armed robbers. According to police information, the robbers entered the farmhouse, assaulted the couple with pangas and stole an unknown amount of cash and other items.

The 72 year old man and 68 year old woman were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. Their injuries are considered serious.
A search for the
perpetrators is underway, but so far no suspects have been arrested. The police
are investigating a case of robbery with aggravating circumstances.
