The body of Brooke Cecilia Cheuvront (20) was found at Devil’s Peak yesterday after she went hiking. Cheuvront was a student from the University of North Carolina, United States who moved to South Africa as she was on an internship at the University of Cape Town.
Courtesy: Morehead-CainWestern Cape spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie said that the search party found the woman’s body at 2pm yesterday. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Her father Steve Cheuvront was devastated after
hearing the news of his daughter's death. He often posted her on his social media
as she was exploring South Africa and expressed his proudness. Things took an unexpected turn when he shared that her corpse was found while she was hiking on Devil’s peak.
