Yesterday morning
police officers arrested a 24-year-old man for the illegal possession of ammunition.
According to Captain
Frederick C van Wyk, the members followed up on information regarding a suspect
that had ammunition hidden in a chips packet. They immediately followed up the
information and found the suspect at premises in Aster Avenue, Uitsig. Upon
searching the chips packet, members found six .38 Special rounds of ammunition.
The suspect was arrested;
he is due to appear at the Bellville Magistrate court today on the mentioned
charge.
