Police in KwaZulu-Natal have arrested three suspects for allegedly assisting foreign nationals in obtaining citizenship through fraudulent marriages.
An office thought to be used for these
activities was found in Durban. The arrested individuals include two Pakistani
nationals and a South African.
According to police, the suspects allegedly
acquired South African Identity Documents through theft to facilitate the
marriages.
Authorities suspect that this scam has been
operating for 25 years.
