Results on George building collapse to be released in 2025

The Western Cape Government will hand over the results of its investigation into the George building collapse in 2025.

Thirty-four people were killed when the five-storey building collapsed in May 2024.

The provincial government, police and the Department of Employment and Labour conducted investigations into the cause of the collapse of the building.

Western Cape Premier Alan Winde says a finding from the investigation will give the affected families closure after the tragedy.
