Former Springbok coach Peter de Villiers has a new political home.
De Villiers was officially welcomed to Jacob Zuma's UMkhonto
weSizwe (MK) Party by its deputy president and parliamentary leader, John
Hlophe, at a ceremony this week.
He was removed from the GOOD Party in March 2024 after
allegations of sexual misconduct.
In a post on X, the MK party said De Villers appointment
marks a significant milestone for the party.
‘’This
welcoming signifies a commitment to unity and empowerment within the party, as
they strive to harness De Villiers's experience and leadership skills to
further their goals of unifying the people of the province as a whole.’’
