The little boy from Wesbank who was tragically killed whilst asleep, will be laid to rest on Saturday morning.
Four-year-old Davin Afrika was killed by a stray bullet
whilst sleeping, two weeks ago, days before his fifth birthday.
His mother says this incident opened deep wounds for her
after losing a second child to gang violence. Kelly-Amber Koopman, 12, was shot
and killed in November 2023 during load shedding to unknown gunmen.
Davin’s grieving family say they have been unable to bury him due to a lack of finances, but generous souls has helped the family and little Davin’s funeral was held at Wesbank High School.
