A suspected gang related shooting in Mitchell’s Plain, on Friday night, left three men injured.
Police confirmed that the latest incident occurred in
Maartblom Street.
‘’Lentegeur police attended to a complaint of a shooting
and upon arrival they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies.
The victims were taken to a medical facility for medical treatment. The motive
for the attack is believed to be gang related. The suspects are yet to be
arrested,’’ said Sergeant Wesley Twigg, Western Cape police spokesperson.
Lentegeur police said they are probing three counts of
attempted murder.

December 2024), the suburb is in the top 10 of most categories in the Western
Cape – 5th in contact crime (938 cases; decrease of 73). 48 cases
