The body of a decomposed newborn baby was found in Kuilsriver, on Tuesday afternoon.

‘’ This office can confirm that a decomposed body
of new born baby was found in Kalkfontein in Kuilsriver next to the canal
closer to the bridge, wrapped in plastic bags. A post-mortem will be conducted
to determine race, gender and cause of death of the baby. A case of concealment
of birth was registered,’’ said Captain F.C Van Wyk, Western Cape police
spokesperson.
