Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

This year’s theme, "Human Trafficking is Organized Crime – End the Exploitation". The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Andries Nel, will commemorate World Day Against Trafficking in Persons today.

Nel will host a stakeholder engagement meeting at the Cape Town International Airport. Nel will officially launch the Local Task Team Offices to combat the rising human trafficking in the country.

The day is observed on July 30 annually to raise awareness against human trafficking.
