Lolitha Kowa appeared in court on Wednesday. They were arrested on charges of
rape and murder. Kowa’s body was found dumped near her home in Kuyasa last
month.
Jack and Matyesi’s bail was rejected as their addresses could
not be verified.
According to reports, their Legal Aid lawyer has told the
court that the families of the accused are refusing to take them in, should
they be released on bail.
The matter returns to court on the 22nd of October for
further investigation purposes.
Furthermore the State said it's still awaiting the
postmortem and DNA results taken from the deceased child.
