Tiger Brands has recalled all of its Benny beef- and chicken-flavoured stock cubes
The recall comes after Tiger Brands notified the National
Consumer Commission (NCC) of inaccurate nutritional information on the label.
According to Tiger Brands, the nutritional labelling on
products' packaging may not accurately reflect the product's sodium content. The
affected batches have been on sale since 2023 and the expiration date is 31
July 2027.
“The inaccurate nutritional information on the label may
impact a consumer’s ability to make an informed decision about consuming the
product based on their dietary requirements,” the commission said.
“Products forming part of this recall include the 12, 24
and 48 cube pack sizes of Benny. Consumers are urged to return the products to
their point of purchase for a full refund. No proof of payment is
required."
