Suspects arrested in Delft for stolen vehicle, firearm and ammunition.

The Western Cape police arrested three suspects 2 men and a woman aged between 42 and 45 on Wednesday for firearm, ammunition and stolen vehicles.

‘’Members attached to Delft SAPS operationalized information received of firearms which led them to an address in Mandara Street, N2 Gateway, Delft where the members initiated a search of the premises. The members discovered an Uzi-sub machine gun with the serial number removed and ammunition, leading to the arrest of three suspects, a male and female for the unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition,’’ said Lt. Col. Malcolm Pojie, Western Cape police spokesperson

“The members expanded their search upon which they discovered and seized two BMW sedans of which one was positively linked to a hijacking perpetrated in Cape Town during January 2025,” he added

The suspects will make their first court appearance in the Bellville Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
