A 12-year-old boy has succumbed to injuries in hospital following a shooting incident in Mitchell’s Plain earlier this week.

were informed that two people were shot at the corner of Moira and Wendy Street
and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment by private vehicle.
‘’The victims were visited at the medical facility, where
it was found that the 12 year old sustain a gunshot wound to the head and the
29 year old was shot once in the right leg. The motive is believed to be gang
related. Investigation continues no arrest as yet,’’ said Captain F.C Van Wyk,
Western Cape police spokesperson.
