Man caught with R100k worth of dagga in Paarden Island

A 35-year-old man will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates court on Wednesday, for dealing in drugs.

Police said members of the Maitland Flying Squad members received information about dealing in dagga at a premises in Paarden Island.

‘’They immediately operationalised the information and proceeded to an address in Auckland Street where they searched the premises and the occupant. This resulted in the confiscation of a consignment of dagga, as well as other dagga related products with an estimated street value of R100 000,’’ said Captain F.C. van Wyk, Western Cape police spokesperson.
