Vehicle owners of Peugeot Landtrek has been urged to return their vehicle to their nearest dealership, following a recall.
According to the car manufacturer, Stellantis, the affected
vehicles may experience wear of the doorsill wiring harness caused by
interference with the doorsill cover. In a worst-case scenario, this could
result in unexpected airbag deployment without a collision.
The affected vehicles were made available nationwide from
2021 to 2025.
“This recall forms part of our ongoing efforts to ensure
that products on the South African market are safe and compliant. We are
working closely with Stellantis and other OEMs to ensure all affected vehicles
are accounted for and that corrective measures are implemented swiftly. We
encourage consumers to respond promptly and make the necessary arrangements
with the authorised dealership”, said Hardin Ratshisusu, Acting National
Consumer Commissioner.
