WCED wishes Class of 2025 well

The Western Cape Department of Education has wished the Western Cape candidates the very best for the exam period ahead.

The department offered a special vote of thanks to matric teachers, who were tasked with rounding out a child’s schooling and bringing more than a decade of investment in our learners to fruition.

“Our teachers have cemented the foundations of our children’s future careers, because behind every dream realised is a teacher who believed.

We also thank our matric parents for all the support, care and love that they have provided to our learners throughout their school years” David Maynier

WCED appeals to everyone in the Western Cape to support our matrics, and to avoid any disruptions at or near schools during this crucial period. Maynier says we need to put the interests of our children first, and not do anything to compromise their ability to achieve their goals.

“To our matric candidates, thank you for making use of the support offered to you, by showing up in numbers to the extra classes offered by schools and districts, and using the revision materials provided. We can assure you that the investment you have made in preparing will be worth the time and effort.” Maynier encouraged.
