The City’s Fire and Rescue Services responded to a fire last night at a factory in Marconi Street, Montague Gardens.

According to reports the crew managed to save two thirds of the building which housed two other establishments. The cause of the fire is still unknown. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

The City’s Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Jermaine Carelse says “Crews from several fire stations responded to bring the fire under control. Currently staff are dealing with sporadic flare-ups and the building inspector and other agencies will be on site to review the integrity of the structure”.
