Police have opened a case of culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving after a horrific crash on Eisleben Road in Lentegeur, Mitchell’s Plain on Wednesday afternoon that claimed the life of an adult male.

BMW drove on the wrong side of the road and collided with a pedestrian, who was
declared dead on the scene.
‘’ The driver of the BMW crashed into four other
vehicles injuring the drivers and their passengers which include children. The
injured victims including the driver of the BMW were taken to nearby hospitals
for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under
investigation and an arrest is yet to be made,’’ said Sergeant Wesley Twigg,
Western Cape police spokesperson.
Disturbing images were also shared online of the deceased
person being ripped in two, with the top part of the body laying inside in the
BMW, and the bottom part of the body laying outside metres away.
