Metro Police Officers arrested five suspects in Eerste River on Tuesday, for the possession of stolen goods to the value of half a million rand. Spokesperson Ruth Solomon explained that officers received information of a Toyota Hino truck that was hijacked in Manenberg.

headed to Khayelitsha where the stock was transferred to a yellow Hino truck
and taken to Eerste River to be sold.
‘’At around 12:30, Officers spotted the truck
at a shop in Eerste River, where the goods were being offloaded. The five
suspects, aged between 28 and 41 were
arrested and detained at Kleinvlei SAPS. Officers confiscated the truck and six
cellphones for further investigation - the goods were returned to the rightful
owner.’’
