Public reminded to report missing persons immediately after Khayelitsha boy disappears

The public is reminded that there is no waiting period to report a missing personThis comes after a mother reported her child missing three weeks after the boy’s disappearance.

Eight-year-old Oyama Titshala went missing on 14 December 2025 when he left his home in Ceba Street, Makhaza, and was not seen since.

Police said the child was reported missing on 2 January 2026, by his mother.

‘’At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a green short pants, orange jacket and pink running shoes,’’ said Sergeant Wesley Twigg, Western Cape police spokesperson.

Anyone with any information who can assist with the investigation or who knows the whereabouts of the child is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer detective Captain Riccardo Mccree on 082 522 3154 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
