Duo linked to triple murder in Gordon's bay appears in court

The case against two men linked to the triple murder in Gordon’s Bay will resume next week.

Tyron October (32) and Byron Dryer (36) made their first appearance in the Strand Magistrate’s Court on Monday. The duo is accused of the fatal shooting of three men, aged between 40 and 45, in the parking area of Gordon’s Bay Mall. The pair are accused of opening fire on the victims while they were seated in a vehicle at the mall’s parking lot on 27 January 2026 at approximately 21:30.

‘’Official reports indicate that the deceased men were in the parking lot at Gordon’s Bay Mall at approximately 21:30 when unknown gunmen travelling in a vehicle approached them and shots were fired. Two victims died inside the vehicle and another outside the car. The suspects later fled in their vehicle,’’ said Police spokesperson, Brigadier Novela Potelwa, at the time.



Police suspects the incident to be gang related. The matter was postponed to Wednesday, 25 February 2026, for a formal bail application.

On Monday, Colonel Andrè Traut, said a third suspect has also been arrested in connection with the triple murder and is expected to appear in court soon.
