Kensington residents call for safety after child caught in crossfire

Kensington community members are calling on authorities to improve safety operations after a gang related shooting broke.

The family of two-year-old Emilio Lindeman Junior says they fear he may never walk again after he was shot in Kensington on Saturday night.

The toddler was in his mother’s arms when gunmen opened fire in Glider Crescent, allegedly targeting another person.

Emilio was hit twice and remains in ICU, with one bullet still lodged near his collarbone.

Police are investigating an attempted murder case, while the family is calling for those responsible to be arrested.
