Man burns to death in a vehicle

A thirty nine year old man burnt to death on Tuesday afternoon following an accident on Highlands drive, Mitchells Plain.

According to the police, two motor vehicles, a blue Ford Figo and white Toyota was stationery at the red traffic light on Highlands drive, when a white Toyota Quantum drove into the Toyota from behind and also into the Ford Figo.

“The Ford Figo caught alight and the 39-year-old driver burned to death in the vehicle. The taxi driver and one passenger were taken to hospital for treatment” police’s Col Andre Traut. 

No arrests have been made. Investigations continue
