Police have arrested two suspects in connection with an alleged extortion case in Nyanga.

The arrests happened after police officers received information about individuals who were allegedly demanding money from local shop owners.
According to police, officers were conducting patrols in the area when they were alerted to the alleged extortion activities. The suspects reportedly tried to escape after noticing the officers, but they were caught with assistance from members of the community.
During the arrests, police confiscated a firearm, an imitation firearm, and ammunition from the suspects.
The two men are expected to appear in court soon, where they will face legal proceedings related to the allegations.
Police have thanked the community for its support and cooperation in helping to fight crime in the area.
