A 40-year-old mother of two from Belhar has allegedly been stabbed to death at a house in Mandalay, Mitchells Plain.
Kumsa Papu was reportedly visiting her boyfriend when an argument allegedly broke out. Her family says she was later found with multiple stab wounds inside a bedroom.
Police were called to the house in Wild Plum Street at about 1.30am on Sunday. Papu was declared dead at the scene.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder and is expected to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court once charged.
The family says it is devastated by her death and is appealing for community support.
Police investigations are continuing.
