The Independent Complaints Directorate says investigations into several recent incidents of police brutality continue.

This follows an incident where a police sergeant in the East Rand has been accused of shooting Jeanette Odendaal last week.

The sergeant is set to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court for a formal bail hearing.

ICD spokesperson Moses Dlamini urged members of the public to let justice take its course.
