Home Affairs has warned refugee organization Passop to stop pretending to be the spokespeople of Zimbabweans living in South Africa.
Home Affairs’ Ronnie Mamoepa says the majority of Zimbabwean nationals are law-abiding citizens who have regularized their stay in South Africa through the documentation project.
He adds that these people speak for themselves through the Home Affairs-Zimbabwe Stakeholder Forum.
Mamoepa says contrary to what Passop alleges, nobody who has followed the correct procedures will be subject to deportation.
