Tazne Van Wyk's killer sentenced to nine life imprisonment
Cape Town High Court sentenced Tazne Van Wyk’s killer to nine life imprisonment. This is after the 8-year-old girl was kidnapped in Ravensmead in February 2020, before she found dead days later.
The name of the accused cannot be released to protect the identity of his other victims.
Tazne’s killer was sentenced to life imprisonment nine times for the brutal crimes against his victims. He was found guilty on seven counts of rape, four of assault, two of sexual assault, two of kidnapping, one of oral rape, one of sexual exploitation, one of indecency, one of murder, one of desecration and one of violating his parole conditions.
The suspect was found guilty of 22 of the 27 charges. The sentences will be
served concurrently
