Body of an unknown man found floating near Kraaifontein dam

Kraaifontein police are probing a case of murder after officers discovered a body of an unknown man near Nuutgewek farm, on Sunday.

The police’s Joseph Swartbooi said the man sustained an open wound to his head.

‘’Upon arrival at the scene at about 12.30pm near Nuutgewek farm, they found a body of an unknown man floating in the dam. The local police body required the services of the SAPS Provincial Diving unit to retrieve the body.”

‘’The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. Further inspection indicated that the victim sustained an open wound to his head,’’ added Warrant Officer, Joseph Swartbooi.

The unknown suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested. Swartbooi added that the motive for the attack is unknown.
