The
case against a man accused of murdering a traffic official in Mthatha has been
postponed 17 March.
It
is understood that Siphesonke Galoshe, 34, contravened traffic rules. According
to Yolisa Mgolodela, Hawks spokesperson, Daniel Mxoli, 61, was killed after
stopping a silver Toyota Tazz driven by the accused.
‘’The traffic officer turned his back on Galoshe and this
when he allegedly alighted from his
vehicle, took out his rifle and shot and fatally wounded an on-duty civil
servant’.
Galoshe
went into hiding after the officer's murder
in October, but his relative forced him to
turn himself in.
Galoshe,
was denied bail in the Mthatha Magistrate's Court this week.
