Taxi sector will not be involved in violence after leader was killed

The South African National Taxi council (Santaco) in the Western Cape is calling for anyone who can help police find the killer of a Taxi owner to come forward. Sizwe Khobocwane was reportedly shot outside his home in Kuils River earlier this week.

He was also one of Santaco's leaders in the province and a member of taxi association, Codeta.

Santaco Western Cape chairperson, Mandla Hermanus, said that they were saddened by this incident. Hermanus also urged the taxi industry not to respond with violence in the matter and let the law take its place.
