Police still searching for leads in Delft teen's murder investigation

Police are still trying to solve the murder of a 13-year-old boy in Delft. The boy's body was discovered in a field on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson Frederick Van Wyk reported that the boy had several injuries on his body and face.

"Police members on duty received a complaint of a person who is laying in the field. On their arrival, they found the body of a teenager lying on his back with multiple injuries. He was dressed in blue jeans, maroon T-shirt, and red All Star tekkies. Circumstances surrounding this fatal incident are under investigation” said Van Wyk.

This tragic event occurs during the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.

Earlier in October, the burnt remains of a 12-year-old boy were also found in a field in Delft.
