Mitchell’s Plain police are investigating two counts of murder after two men were shot and killed in Beacon Valley on Sunday afternoon.
Police confirmed that the incident occurred at about 14:40 at
the corner of Cadillac and Riley Streets, where two males aged 21 and 23 were
shot and fatally wounded.
‘’According to reports a red Toyota Corolla bubble shape and a VW Polo with unidentified
suspects pulled up in the mentioned streets and the occupants started shooting
at the victims who was standing in the street. Both victims were declared
deceased by medical personnel. The unknown assailants fled the scene and are
yet to be arrested,’’ said Captain F.C van Wyk, Western Cape police
spokesperson.
The motive is believed to be gang related.
