A 26-year-old woman Tharwah Bazier was shot and killed in Bonteheuwel near a supermarket on Jakkalsvlei Avenue on Saturday.

According to reports the victim was walking in Jakkalsvlei Avenue when a male approached her and shot her multiple times at the back of the head. She was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel.
Police sergeant Wesley Twigg says “A murder case has been opened for investigation following the deadly attack on the woman. The motive for the murder forms part of the police investigation. Officers reported that the suspect has fled the scene”.
