Western Cape police has made a breakthrough in a triple murder that occurred in Khayelitsha, earlier this year.
A man linked to the murders was arrested on Monday, when he
was appearing in court for another matter.
Three people were killed and three others were wounded in
the incident which occurred on Solomon Tshuku Street, C Block, Khayelitsha, on
8 February 2025.
‘’The detectives gathered information and obtained
statements which led to the identification of a suspect and during attempts to
arrest him he evaded police. His freedom was short lived when he was arrested
on Monday, 22 September 2025 when he was appearing in court for another matter,’’
said Sergeant Wesley Twigg, Western Cape police spokesperson.
The suspect will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates’
Court on Thursday.
