Western Cape police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting incident in Khayelitsha that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

investigation following a shooting incident in Japhta K Masemola Street, at
about 17:30, in which a 38-year-old woman was shot and fatally wounded.
‘’Police members responded to a complaint of a shooting and
upon arrival on the scene they found the victim with a gunshot wound to her
head. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel,’’
said Sergeant Wesley Twigg, Western Cape police spokesperson.
