Taliep Petersen was shot dead in his home in Athlone in December 2006. Najwa was sentenced to 28 years in prison.

“The parole board has directed that offender Petersen be afforded a further profile. This includes the completion of a specified intervention programme within a set time frame as recommended by the board,” said Singabakho Nxumalo. Correctional Services spokesperson.

Petersen also unsuccessfully applied for parole last year.

Her parole application will only be reconsidered once she completes the additional rehabilitation programmes.

“That will include all other related requirements,” he said.
